  1. Scissoring is like the missionary position for lesbians. I mean, it’s that common, but it’s not done like that. Basically, imagine if each of the girls was a pair of scissors, legs being the blades. Then they rub their private parts against each other.

  2. It’s like dry humping for lesbians. Ok, you can be naked so it’s not really “dry” but you get the point. You just rub your vaginas against each other, so that your clitorises (sp?) touch and rub as well. The thing is, scissoring is not very easy to do. Most of the time, it’s hard to get two clitorises in the same position and then the second you move (start rubbing) you lose contact. I tried it once, didn’t really enjoy it, never bothered to do it again.

  3. Scissoring is one of the big lesbian myths. Lesbians hardly ever scissor because it’s neither fun nor easy. It’s putting your vaginas together while your legs act like two pairs of scissors, hence the name. You can face each other or do something like a 69, facing away from each other. Also, there are positions that look awful lot like straight dry humping that can also be classified as “scissoring.” Basically, any vulva/clitoris rubbing, without any form of penetration, can be classified as “scissoring.” At least in my circles.
